Notes for Notes is a grass roots organization with very big dreams. Founded in Santa Barbara, Notes for Notes will continue to grow locally with additional locations throughout the County in partnership with the United Boys and Girls Club.
Notes for Notes also realizes the musical opportunities which the organization offers could benefit many youth, including those outside of Santa Barbara. The organization is actively developing MusicBoxes in Nashville, TN and is interested in exploring other cities across the country whose youth could truly benefit from a MusicBox.
As music programs continue to be excised from school curriculums, Notes for Notes will fill the void, ensuring that no child is denied the opportunity to experience the life-altering power that music can provide.
Notes for Notes has been working hard to identify the factors that have made the organization so successful in Santa Barbara as it prepares to expand nationally to Nashville and other cities. Some of the key elements to establishing Notes for Notes abroad consist of a strong strategic relationship with the Boys and Girls Clubs, a vibrant music community with venues and artists that can lend support and local universities and colleges for outreach to potential staff and volunteers.
The organization will never expand with a “Franchise Model.” Notes for Notes prides itself on retaining an intimate grass-roots culture in the implementation of its programming as well as the direction of the organization. Relationships are “key” to the success of the organization’s programming and growth, hence the desire to expand organically and at a rate that maintains the key culture of the organization.
