Imagine a world without Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. Without B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Sting, and the Beatles. Without Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson or the Foo Fighters. Without marching bands at football games, string quartets at weddings, and Mariachi bands at Fiesta. What a bleak place our planet would be! But that’s exactly what is happening everywhere, and it’s getting worse with each passing day.

Direct Financial Contributions:

Notes for Notes expenses include musical equipment and supplies, staff salaries, and fundraising activities. Notes for Notes maintains an extremely lean budget and thanks to a partnership with the Boys and Girls Clubs, operates with minimal to no overhead. This means that the majority of funding is focused on programming and directly benefits the youth served. Donations of Services:

Notes for Notes gratefully accepts advertising space (print, radio, television, on-line), advertising design, flyer/brochure printing, Web site development and maintenance, event promotion, financial and other similar services.

Donations of Musical Instruments and Recording Equipment:

Notes for Notes’ MusicBox centers are designed to be stocked with a variety of musical instruments, recording devices, computers, and music software. Donations of virtually all working instruments and equipment will be accepted. However, please note that computers must be newer and able to run the latest operating systems, so that they are compatible with the current generation of music software. Every year Notes for Notes holds a collaborative Instrument Drive which brings in instruments and equipment that are placed directly in the hands of youth participants in the MusicBox studios. Occasionally the organization receives gifts of equipment and instruments that far exceed the needs in the studio-i.e. vintage guitars, signed instruments, etc-that can have more value to the organization if sold or traded to raise money and equip the MusicBoxes with even more resources.
