NOTES FOR NOTES® is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing youth with completely FREE access to music instruments, instruction and recording studio environments so that music may become a profoundly positive experience in their lives.
NOTES FOR NOTES STUDIOS are packed with guitars, drums, keys/synths, DJ gear, digital music stations and professional recording gear offering youth completely FREE access to explore, create, and record music. Located inside Boys & Girls Clubs and after-school centers in underserved areas around the country, every studio is staffed by a N4N team member. These Producers educate, encourage, and listen to each youth member to help them be their best selves, both personally and artistically.

AND HELP PRODUCE TOMORROW’S MUSICIANS IN FRANKLIN, TN
Nashville made Notes for Notes (N4N) a national organization when we opened our third studio (and first outside CA) in 2011 in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Middle Tennessee (BGCMT). Since then, N4N has expanded to 26 studios across the US with three in Nashville. Now an opportunity exists for a fourth studio locally at BGCMT’s Franklin Clubhouse.
With your support we can expand our partnership with BGCMT and give the youth of Franklin the opportunity to explore, create and record music for FREE. A space has been identified at the Club to house a single room N4N Studio we will dub the first Notes for Notes Writers Room. This Studio will house a robust production workstation complete with Pro Tools, Logic, Ableton, FL Studio along with guitars (acoustic + electric), Keys/Synths, a groove station and podcasting setup. Youth will work with a N4N Producer to explore a range of musical opportunities from playing an instrument to writing, producing and mixing/mastering original songs. The N4N Writers Room will be the start of a youth’s sonic journey helping them build Confidence, tap into their Creativity, develop Compassion and find Community through music.
BGCMT will provide the space free of charge and partially underwrite N4N program sustainability annually. We ask for the community’s support to raise the remaining funding (25,000) to buildout, launch and sustain the studio for year one with an on-going commitment to sustain the studio with an an annual donation of 15,000.
